3. Access to PETTAP Profiles and URL Security

Private Area: Access to your reserved area is restricted and requires personal login credentials via pettap.it. Only the registered user can modify or update their pet's profile.

Public Profile (View Only): When the PetTap tag is configured, a non-indexed public URL is automatically generated for view-only access to the pet’s information. This link is only accessible to those with the exact URL (e.g., via NFC scan) and does not allow any modifications.

URL Protection: Public profile URLs are securely and randomly generated. They are not shared with third parties and are only associated with the owner’s private area.

Edit URL: The link to modify the profile is only accessible to the authenticated user via the private area and is not publicly accessible.

4. Where Data Is Stored

All personal data and PetTap profiles are stored on servers located in Italy and within the European Union, managed by Aruba S.p.A.
Aruba complies with GDPR and implements all necessary security measures as required by EU data protection laws.

PetTap is the data controller and retains direct control over this data.

5. How We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data only with:

  • Third-party service providers that support the operation of the site (e.g., payments, logistics, IT services)

  • Business partners, only with your explicit consent

  • Public authorities, where required by law

We do not sell or disclose your data to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

While no system is completely secure, both Aruba S.p.A. and PetTap adopt high standards for physical, logical, and application-level data security.
